Artist Deric Carner (USA) will be in residence in the upper antechamber of TENT. to enact simple routines with visitors. The work deals with adding, subtracting, commitments and conditions. Deric Carner: "I am a media artist. I look at the fragments and refuse of every- day mediated life and process them into more palpable trash. This is done to convert boredom and overload into wakeful silence. Value is degraded through the incessant inflation of stimulation culture. Subtracting from the pile might be more useful today than adding." |
