Scott Kiernan (Zenith Foundation)
ZENITH FOUNDATION is the name under which the multimedia artist Scott Kiernan operates. The typical ZENITHWORK grows out of an interaction between the aural and the visual and an ensuing series of leaps in logic. The name itself is a bit of a play on words. A 'zenith' can be broadly described as the point directly over your head, so the (zenith's) 'foundation' would be you, the observer. However, the two words together also imply an anonymous entity/organization that acts to deliver my missives to the world.
ZENITHWORK is an ongoing collage of cannibalistic and mutating work. Themes of interest include: ways in which 'old' becomes 'new', cycles of desire and anxiety and how they become 'realer' than any physical entities, the experiential nature of sound/music, light and geometry; and a possible linguistic and emotional skewing of the mechanistic models of math and science. The 'grand collage' of the ZENITH FOUNDATION has also extended into a parallel practice of handmade bookmaking, assemblages, mail art, and home-recording which both reflects and guides its evolution.

Gregg Kowalsky
Born in New York City and raised in South Florida, Gregg Kowalsky has had the opportunity to perform throughout Europe and the United States under the Osso Bucco moniker for the past several years. He participated in festivals such as WDR's SoundArt-Köln Festival, Sonar, OFFF (Online Flash-Film Festival) and The Nursery Summer Festival in Sweden alongside artists like Stephan Mathieu, Keith Fullerton Whitman, Wolf Eyes, fm3 and others. He now resides in Oakland, California where he completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Electronic Music and Recording Media at Mills College with the guidance of Fred Frith. Kowalsky's compositions range from textural ambient to drone and noise pieces, which are highly influenced by the thick, humid air of South Florida where Gregg lived for most of his life. He is interested in filling the spaces his music occupies through dense, live, multi-channel mixes. He has composed for film, dance, acoustic ensembles and sound installations. Gregg's debut full-length album, Through The Cardial Window, will release in 2006 on Kranky.

Chris Cobb (with Sonya Derman)
Sonya and I
have been working on a small collaborative project. After many
conversations we decided to each come up with an important object
from one anothers' past that doesn't exist any more and then
recreate each object as a sculpture. They are each kind of emotionally
charged objects that have a lot of meaning to us.
